May the good LORD bless you. A pastoral economy is one that depends heavily on raising livestock such as cattle, sheep, and goats. What is pastoral care? Assistance given by a minister or pastor. This will usually be in the form of Godly advice or Biblical counsel.. Pastoral care is the ministry of care and counseling provided by pastors, chaplains and other religious leaders to members of their church, or persons within a faith-based institution.
What is a pastor? A pastor is either a minister or priest in a Christian church, or,in its less common sense, a shepherd. What does a pastor do? A pastor does many, many things; largely depending on the congregation's size and whether or not there are more than one pastor. The first and most obvious is preaching Sunday morning, but this is not as simple as getting in front of a crowd and rambling for 20 minutes.
Hours of preparation and prayer go into even the simplest sermon, even a "recycled" sermon-one that the pastor has done years ago but still has the outline, takes considerable work to revise and prepare with. There is outreach that needs to be done, and that can look like a hundred different things but most common is visitation of the sick, elderly, or incarcerated, and the means spending a good amount of time with each individual.
These outreaches depend largely on the area that the pastor preaches to. Numerous issues come past a pastor's desk and congregates will bring a wide range of issues before a pastor to handle, be in marriage issues, personal problems, spiritual questions, etc.
That brings me into the next aspect of being a pastor, "the marrying them and burying them" aspect. In other words, involvement and leading of numerous special occasions in a person's life, in many cases, conversion , baptism, weddings, and burials.
Some churches have different milestones like these and differ widely from church to church. These are your standard "" job qualities, things that a pastor knows about atleast a few days in advance and can prepare for. But a pastor's job is far from One of the most physically demanding, and spiritually taxing aspects is those moments that you can't be prepared for. That midnight phone call to the hospital because Mr. Smith's 21 year old son is in critical condition because of a drunk driver.
A pastor may be there for hours giving comfort and aid to the family and victim. It is in those moments that they relay entirely on God to pull them through. Can women be pastors? It all depends on the exact religion being followed. Was Timothy a pastor? Yes, and a youngish one, which is why Paul wrote to him several times with advice - these along with other letters are called the pastoral epistles. Sorry, but this is not correct.
Timothy was NOT a pastor. Although he had pastoral gifts for caring for and counseling people, he was actually an apostolic worker sent by Paul to help navigate the church through difficult seasons of growth and maturity. He was sent as an apostolic representative of the ministry of Paul for the specific purpose of helping the church to function properly.
There is no example in all of the New Testament of the modern day "do everything" pastor. I agree and I might add that church polity in this day came from the reformation churches which came from the roman catholic church. This system is called the monarchial system. The system was created for individuals who wanted power as the so called man of GOD. In the book of 3 John 1: I guess they were wrong.
No offense but there is a such thing as a dumb question. The assumption that two powerful women of God who preach with boldness and the anointing of God should somehow be 'best friends' in ministry because they are both caucasian is simply foolish. I can only equate this to one assuming that all blacks get along, all asians get along, etc. Furthermore, Have either parties ever been quoted in saying that they don't get along with the other?
Or are you simply assuming that because they don't minister on the same platform, they must not like each other? Let me just bounce an idea off the wall. How about we pray, fast, seek, consecrate, and separate. I do not mean to sound crass, and I apologize if that is the appearance. However, drawing men to Christ would be a lot easier if 'The Body' would stop allowing the enemy to use them to plant seeds of divisiveness in the church.
This answer is good but there is really nothing wrong with knowing, i think it is a really good question. I'm certain they know of each other because they are widely sought after speakers, and i think they were under Bishop Jakes's ministry. The question that i guess remains is why you don't see them communicate but that could be for a number of reasons. I just wish that all ministers would get along and fellowship together it's too much division in the church as it is.
So if sheryl brady or paula white or any other minister reads this, learn how to work together were all preaching the same gospel. How do I know? I go to WWIC And as far as I know they get along. Not sure where this came from. Is it okay to date a married pastor? Considering that this question is posted in "Cheating" you probably already know the answer. Just because someone is a pastor does not change the fact that he or she is married.
Would the pastor's spouse think it is OK?. Please, please say this is a joke question. It is morally wrong to cheat with anyone, period. But with a pastor? You are not only helping betray the pastor's spouse, but the pastor's congregation as well. How do pastors get paid? There are a variety of ways a pastor can be paid. Many smaller congregations don't have the income necessary to pay a full-time pastor.
One solution is for the denomination to pay a single pastor to perform his duties over several small, often rural, churches; the funds can come from a pooling or partial pooling of the offerings of those churches, or through a fund supplied by the denomination itself. Other congregations have pastors that are not paid staff, either by choice or by necessity. These pastors work full-time like anyone else, and perform ceremonies and services on weekends.
Larger congregations are able to finance a pastor's salary through a portion of offering income. Some may sub-divide the pastor's pay into a number of different budgetary line-items for example, housing may be a separate item for congregations that do not maintain a parsonage , and each line-item may have a silghtly different accounting "bucket" to pull from.
How do you remove a pastor? Most denominations have specific rules concerning the removal of apastor. However, most churches can remove a pastor with a vote ofthe congregation. Will bishop noel Jones be marrying paula white soon?
Plenty rumors exist about Bishop Noel Jones getting married. There is a woman out there claiming she's getting married to him on December 24, However, Bishop Jones has said himself, he doesn't know who she is, though she's even made invitations.
When he hears about these things, he laughs at its falsehood. Is Bishop Noel Jones marrying paula white? Only God knows the future and He is in control as long as the believers let Him be in control. Otherwise, everything ends up perverted and will be a disaster for them. I hope they put it in God's hands. Who is Noel Jones dating?
