Then the Passive House standard is what you are looking for, and this course is for you! Here you will learn first-hand from experts at the Passive House Institute, everything from how to define the thermal envelope to how to overcome frequent planning and construction challenges. This course is aimed at all building professionals, including architects, engineers, contractors and builders.
It consists of a 3-day e-learning module and 7 days of in-class training. Passive House Fundamentals The e-learning module is located on the Moodle platform: This allows for a tailored learning experience and reduces travel and accommodation costs.
It covers 10 topics: You need to pass the final assessment by the end of October, so we can best address knowledge gaps during the in-class training.
Our staff will monitor your progress and provide you with technical support if needed. In addition, you will have a closer look at our Passive House component and materials collection! Passive House Concept Day 2: Building envelope Day 4: Heating and cooling Day 5: Retrofit and economics Day 6 and 7: The exam itself however is not included in the course. It can be taken on one of the following dates and at one of the following examination centres.
On successfully passing the exam, you will receive an internationally recognized certificate and be listed on our worldwide database for 5 years. The next exam is on December 7th at 9: Additional highlights We offer a review session on Saturday morning. It is optional, but we highly recommend it as it is aimed at getting you better prepared for the certification exam. And because the Passive House standard is much more than just theory, participants will be able to tour Passive House buildings during the International Passive House Days over the weekend.
